Dennis and I got soaking wet at the Mardi Gras Parade in Vicksburg.

More pictures from the party at Ma's on Sunday!

Abbey had a birthday party at her great grandmother's house on Sunday. Everybody was there to celebrate with her. Ma had cake and ice cream. It was yummy. Abbey got to open her presents. She got some good things. Ma even had party favors for the kids. It was a lot of fun.

Abbey has her mask on that she caught at the parade. As you can see, Brandon looks like he doesn't feel good. He ended up being sick most of the weekend.

We had fun at the Mardi Gras Parade considering it was pouring down rain and cold. Brandon was feeling bad so he was miserable outside in the rain. Abbey caught a ton of beads though. Maybe next year the weather will be much better.

Brandon was being silly at the mexican resturant we ate before going to the parade. He put the menu on his head when I took his picture.

We went to Vicksburg on Saturday for a Mardi Gras Parade. Abbey is opening her birthday present from my mom and dad before we leave to go to the parade.

Chloe, Dennis's niece, was being silly for the camera. I was trying to take a picture of her, but she kept making silly faces.

Abbey's birthday is coming up so Friday night we celebrated with her grandmother, aunt, and cousins. She got a comforter. Brandon couldn't wait on Abbey to blow the candles out so he blew them out for her. Dennis had to relight them for her. We all had a good time.

Dennis and I are taking a Cruise in November. We are SO excited. I have never been on one and have been wanting to go for a long time. I am finally getting to go. We are leaving out of Mobile, AL and are stopping at Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. November seems so far away. I hope I can make it until then. This is a picture of the boat that we will be on.
My sister, Bethany, and her boyfriend, Preston went to Mardi Gras in Monroe, LA this past weekend. She said they had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures of them that were taken the weekend they went.

Abbey had a school program a few months ago. She was a starfish. They play was so cute and they all did so good. Dennis and I were proud of her.

Brandon was at Abbey's school program and he wanted Dennis to take a picture of him. He thought he was BIG because he was at her school.

Valentine's Day was great this year. Dennis and I went and ate at Amerigo's Monday night. It was wonderful. We were stuffed when we left. He bought me a swimming suit and a cover up that I wanted. I bought him a pair of jeans, bowling bag, and the Curious George Soundtrack. I bought Abbey and Brandon a movie and a shirt a piece. The both loved their movie. They got me a book that I had been wanting. It was sweet of them. Dennis had to work last night, but when he finally got off he brought me chocolate covered strawberries. I had been craving them all day. Yummy! He is such a wonderful boyfriend.

Dennis, Abbey, Brandon, and I went to see Curious George at the movies this past weekend. It was great. We all loved it. Also, the music was good too. Jack Johnson did all the songs. If you have kids, I would definitely take them to see. Even adults will enjoy it. I would go and see it again.

Ok, so my roommate, Lauren, sometimes says some things that are so funny. Her boyfriend, Chad, had mailed her a package to the Post Office and she was going to pick it up yesterday after work. She calls me to get directions and I tell her you take Gallitan St. and turn left at the red light off the exit and it will be on your left a few miles up that road. So, anyway she calls me while Dennis and I are on our way to Abbey's Basketball Game in Clinton because she thinks she might be going the wrong way because she hasn't seen the sign yet. Lauren is going pretty slow because she has hit 5:00 traffic and there were tons of cars. Out of nowhere she says "Gosh, this place is pretty far away. I didn't know it was past Pearl." I'm thinking ok why is she up around Pearl. I told her that Gallitan St. wasn't around Pearl and she said well I just passed the Pearl St. sign. I started cracking up and told her that Pearl St. was a street in downtown Jackson, not the city of Pearl. She will never live this one down.

I have another receipe that I would like to share. I cooked it last night and it turned out good. It was very easy and only had a few ingredients.

Quick Chicken

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast
4 ounces Dijon mustard
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cub bacon bits
1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees

- Place chicken in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Slather mustard evenly over chicken, then pour teriyaki sauce evenly over all. Sprinkle with bacon bits, then cover with cheese.

- Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

I hope everyone enjoys this.
