A horrible day has became a good day....

Today is my first day back at work so that means that today was Coleson’s first day at daycare. Let me just say that today was probably one of the hardest days that I have had in my entire life. It was so hard to leave him this morning after him being all mine for the past 11 months. I cried most of yesterday and this morning from the time my feet hit the floor until about an hour after I got to work. When we walked in this morning, the lady asked me if everything was alright. Dennis said that she probably thought that he beat me on the way this morning until she found out that it was Coleson’s first day. Then she knew exactly what was wrong. It got much better as the day went on. I have wanted an iPhone for a while now and my husband showed up at my work right after lunch with one. It is my birthday gift and I guess he felt that if I got it today it would help cheer me up. Well it really did. I am so excited and can’t wait to get home and play with it. Thank you Dennis! You couldn’t have given it to me at a better time than when you did. I hope my baby has had a wonderful day at daycare today and I hope his teachers have loved on him for me. I can’t wait to get home and get my hands on him. I sure have missed him so much!!

My four boys!

This is what I saw last night when I walked into the leaving room. All four of them were piled in the recliner wathcing TV and yes Rascal does watch TV. He barks at any animal that comes on there. It is kind of funny at first, but gets old very fast.

8 week check up

I can't believe that my little baby boy is already 2 months old. Today was my last official day of maternity leave. The time has flown by but I am ready to get on a schedule. Now don't get me wrong, I am going to miss my baby while I am working but daycare will be good for him. He had his 8 week check up today and that meant 3 shots in his little legs. When the nurse stuck his leg, he let out a huge scream. I felt so bad, but I did really good and didn't shed a tear. Does that make me a horrible mom? The doctor said that he looked perfect, but of course we already knew that. We didn't need someone to tell us.

Stats:

Weight - 10 lbs. 10 oz. (50th percentile)

Fun Easter Buckets....

These are Easter Buckets that have been made for one of Dennis' cousins. She liked the buckets on Designs By Stephanie but wanted them painted. Well I am not an artist so Amy painted on them for me and they turned out great. Please see my blog for information on these. They can also be painted with fun summer themes. THe price will depend how much you would like painted on them.

Our Surprise Trip

Yesterday, Dennis surprised us with a trip to New Orleans for the day. He didn't tell us where we were going until we headed out that monring. I had already figured it out, but Abbey and Brandon didn't have a clue. I have been wanting to go and eat oysters ever since I got pregnant with Coleson. This was an early birthday celebration for me. My birthday is in the middle of ball season so it is hard for us to go anywhere. This week was the perfect time to go. We had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the oysters were great! Thanks Dennis for taking us all. We had a fabulous time!

Our Busy Weekend...

Saturday we let Abbey have some friends spend the night and she got to go eat pizza and see a movie for her birthday. She didn't really want a birthday party this year so we decided on this. She is getting to old to have big birthday bashes. Amy and I took them to the movies for a girls only trip. We all had a great time.

Amy made Abbey's cake and it turned out cute. For other cakes that she has made, check out her cake blog A Piece of Cake.. I know it looks like it is about to fall over, but that is how it is supposed to look.

Sunday Ma fix hamburgers for us and had Abbey some cupcakes for her birthday.

Brandon and Abbey were eating ice cream after they had a bath last night. I walked in the kitchen and this is what I saw. Brandon had put Coleson's bib on and was eating his ice cream.

Birthday Dinner....

Last night we went to eat mexican for Abbey's birthday. Dennis's mom, step dad, sister, and her kids ate with us. We all had a great time. Every year Abbey and I try and pick places that will embarass you on your birthday. This year was a good one for her because she didn't even see me tell the waiter that it was her birthday. I guess she thought I had forgotten. Yeah right!! How could I forget that? She has a disadvantage every year because we always spend my birthday at the ball field so we usually have to celebrate on another night. She gets so mad when hers is more embarassing but I love it! Brandon, guess what? Your birthday is finally next!

We finally got all the candles lit...

and guess who blew them out?? Brandon!! Check out the expression on Abbey's face. Priceless.

My two special children.

Coleson and his youngest cousin, Chloe. She sure does love her baby cousin and he loves her too.
