Big Boy....

We took the railing off of Coleson's baby bed tonight and he is now in a "big boy" bed. It went pretty smoothly. I stayed with him until he went to sleep. Dennis and I are hoping this will keep Brandon in his bed all night as well. They are going to be roomies for a little while.

I went back a few minutes later and this is what I found. Poor baby is used to a rail on both sides to keep him in. I picked him up and put him back in the bed and he never woke up. Hopefully he will sleep all night. My sweet baby is getting so big. He will be 2 in a month. Potty training is the next step. I will keep everyone posted on our two milestones.

Christmas 2010

This year we had a WONDERFUL Christmas with our families. Dennis and I are so blessed and our kids are spoiled rotten. They got a ton of stuff.

We started out Christmas Eve afternoon with Dennis' mom, sister and niece and nephew. Abbey got the Uggs she has been wanting. She was so excited. Brandon got snake boots and Coleson a scooter. They got a few other small gifts.

We then went to Dennis' grandmothers house. This is when the craziness starts. The kids get wound up and are wild. They have so much fun though. They got some great gifts.

We woke up Christmas Day and went to my grandparents house and spent the day with my family. Abbey and Brandon had Christmas with their mom. They came back home today and got their gifts from Santa. We had Christmas with my parents and sister and brother-in-law. It was wild again today. Brandon got a 22 and an xbox from my parents that he had been wanting. Abbey got a TV from Santa and an Ipod touch. Coleson got a crazy coupe car. They got TONS of other stuff too.

Thanks to everyone that gave us gifts. We loved each and every one of them. Dennis and I have so much to be thankful for. We are excited to get to spend the week with our kids while they are out of school. We hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Our tradition....

Tonight, we took baths early and got ready for our annual "Open a gift early" night. My dad started this when I was a kid and I have passed it down to my kids. Funny thing is my parents and sister and brother in law opened a gift early tonight too. We love it and the kids talk about opening a gift early for about a month before time. We always pick something simple and fun and make them go one at a time so they can see what each other got and make the fun last longer.

Coleson got a "Big Truck" book. He loves the animal book he got from Ann Marie and Brady for his birthday last year so I knew this would be perfect. He is obsessed with trucks right now. His birthday party should be really fun this year. I have lots planned.

Abbey got a laptop bean bag holder thingy. Ha! She got a laptop from her grandparents this year so she needed something to go in her lap to sit it on.

Brandon got a mix and match Guess Who game. We all played it as a family tonight. We have always loved playing games together and you never get to old for this.

Rascal had fun too watching us all.

Abbey playing on her new laptop.

We are getting ready to start the Christmas fun at our house this week. The kids are so excited and can't wait to open gifts with everyone. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! God has been WONDERFUL to us this year and we hope next year is even better. :)

It starts early....

When Brandon got through taking a bath tonight, it was Abbey's turn and this is what she found.

Ha! She started calling my name really loud to come and see. Brandon has liked this little girl for a LONG time and he wrote her name on the bathroom mirror. I can't believe he already likes little girls! Oh my!!!

A busy month so far....

Tonight Dennis and I loaded the kids up and took them to Winner's Circle Park to see Santa. We are so glad that we did because we had a great time. The kids had so much fun and of course we left with one crying. He wanted to ride the train again. He was also obsessed with all the lighted deer.

Our three sweet kids.

I was curious to see if Coleson would be scared of Santa Claus. I'm not sure why I even wondered because he's not scared of anyone. He walked right up to him and sat in his lap. I can't wait for Christmas this year. Coleson is going to be so much fun to watch.

Saturday night we headed to my parents house to eat supper and then go to Canton to see the lights. It started pouring down rain so we figured it would be canceled. After we ate, it had stopped raining so the girls + Coleson rode to Canton to see if anything was going on and it was. The boys didn't want to get out in the cold so they stayed home.

Abbey and Coleson rode the train and it was really cold. The wind was blowing so hard but we toughed it out and stayed for a few minutes.

Friday night we went to Carols By Candlelight at FBC in Jackson. They have an awesome production and it was great again this year. It is something fun to do as a family. Coleson got to stay in the nursery which was very nice. It allowed my mom to watch the show as well. She always is the one who stay back and chases him. Thanks Mom!!!!

Last week Abbey had a Drama production for a class at school. She had a monologue she had to present and she did a great job. It was pretty long too. She was so nervous but did really good. I know she was glad that it was over though.

Well that was a little of what had been going on at our house lately. We are getting ready for Christmas next week. I am all done with my shopping so I am just enjoying all the parties and family time now. We are so thankful for everything that has changed in our lives this year. God has been so good to us!
