Proud Big Sister & Big Brother

Coleson is doing great. Abbey and Brandon just love him and can't get enough. They are so proud to finally have him here . They got to hold him for the first time today. He didn't come to my room last night until 10:30 so they had already left. They were so excited and didn't want to go to school this morning. Dennis went and picked them up early so they have been with him all day. I am doing great also. We get to go home in the morning so it should be interesting at my house the next few days. Wish us luck!

Tomorrow is the day...

That's right. Baby Coleson will make his grand entrance into the world sometimes tomorrow. This is happening for a few reasons. I went to the doctor today for my 37 1/2 week appointment and my blood pressure was high and I was also swollen. The doctor said that he wanted to induce tomorrow morning so I said OK. I was a little shocked to say the least. Dennis and I have to be at Women's in the morning at 5:30. Please pray for baby Coleson and I for a safe and healthy delivery. I am very nervous and extremely excited at the same time. It is hard to believe that Dennis and I will be holding our sweet baby boy in just a short period of time. It seems like just a few months ago that we found out were were having a baby. Somebody will be posting pictures just as soon as they can.

My early Valentine's gift

I have been telling Dennis that I wanted a Wii Fit for some time now. It is so hard to find because they are so popular. We went to Target this weekend and happened to find one. He went ahead and bought it for me for Valentine's Day. I can't wait until I am able to use it. Hopefully it will help me get some of this baby weight off. I know Valentine's Day is still 3 weeks away, but our lives will be a little crazy and we had to get it when we found it. Thanks Dennis! I can't wait to start using it.

Quick Look at the Nursery

Below are a few pictures of Coleson's nursery. Dennis hung the curtain tonight. All that is left to do is hang his name above his bed and frame a picture that his big sister made him. I loved the way it turned out. Thanks Regan for painting the artwork. We love it.

36 1/2 week update

I had another doctors appointment this morning and everything went great. Coleson's heartbeat was 136 and he is still head down. I had not started dilating yet, but the doctor did schedule a date that I will be induced if he is not here before. February 9th will be the big day and Dennis and I are so excited. I have a lot to do in the next two weeks to make sure that everything is ready for him to come home. I also gained another pound so that makes a total of 20. I go back next Wednesday so we will just sit and wait for now.

Baby Shower at Southern Farm

Dennis's work gave us a baby shower today for Coleson. It was wonderful and we got some great things. Thanks to everyone who hosted. We really appreciate everything that was done for us! This child is not going to want for anything for a while. I go back to the doctor Wednesday so let's hope for some good news and some progression.

1 med onion, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can ranch style beans
1 can Rotel (do not drain)

1 8oz bag grated cheedar cheese

Brown ground beef and onion, drain and set aside. Layer in a 9 x 13 baking dish Tostitos, meat mixture and top with cheddar cheese. Bake until bubbly on 375 degree oven, usually about 30 to 45 minutes.

I made this last night and it was very good. The kids even loved it. It was easy and quick.

Another Baby Shower

Thank you Bethany and Rebecca for hosting my shower yesterday. Everything turned out great and I appreciate everything they did. I didn't take any pictures with my camera so I don't have many pictures to post. Baby Coleson sure is going to have everything he needs. Hopefully I will work on his room some more tonight and try and post pictures of his nursery later on this week.

34 (and 1/2) week update and sonogram

I had my 34 week doctors appointment today and everything went great. I had a sonogram so Dennis and I got to see our sweet baby boy. The sonogram tech said that he was definitely a boy, which is a good thing. I would have hated for a little girl to have worn boy clothes for the first 3 months of her life. Everything looked great on the sonogram. We are still right on time. Coleson weighs 5 lbs. 7 oz. My first thought was WOW! I only weighed a few more ounces than that when I was born so with that said I could be having a pretty big baby. The doctor said that the sonogram could be a little off. Maybe that means that I will go into labor before my due date. His heart rate was 144 bpm. He was also head down so we are headed in the right direction. I had gained another 4 pounds which at this point I give up on keeping that a low number. I guess at this point we just sit and wait for the days to come and go until it gets closer to February. I am definitely getting anxious and nervous/scared at the same time. I go back in two weeks and will start being checked for dilation.

Marley and Me

Dennis and I took Abbey and Brandon to see the movie Marley and Me this past Friday afternoon. I read the book a few years ago and fell in love with it. When I found out they were making a movie, I knew that I would definitely be going to see it in the theaters and I wanted to take the kids. It was such a sweet book so I figured the movie would be just as good. Well, it was great. Abbey and I both cried for the last 20 to 30 minutes of it. Even Dennis and Brandon liked it (but neither cried). Abbey was worried that the same thing was going to happen to Rascal. If you have a pet, it really makes you think about the day when you will have to do the same thing. I am dreading it already!! If you have not seen it, it is worth the money!

Country Music Fan?

Abbey and Brandon love this song. We are always listening to it on You Tube around the house. If you have not heard it, you will be hooked. Enjoy!

Our New Scooters

Abbey and Brandon got some money for Christmas and they wanted to buy these electric scooters with some of it. All the kids on our street have them and they decided that they wanted them. They didn't have them on their Christmas list so Santa didn't know that they wanted them. They had a blast on them the other morning. Notice Brandon giving his a little push in the video. Apparantly it wasn't going fast enough for him. I'm sure they will get used a lot this spring and summer especially while we are off work with Coleson.

My new favorite products

Dennis and I went to Target today after two things. That's right... a swiffer +vac and a swiffer wet jet. They are both awesome and I loved using them. My house must be clean at all times and these two products have made my cleaning easier. They were actually kind of fun to use as well. If you have hardwood floors or anything other than carpet, I highly recommend these two things. You will not be disappointed.

Official Deer Hunter

Dennis took the kids hunting Thursday afternoon. It was nice because my mom came over and we went shopping. Always nice to have a little girl time. Anyway...Dennis called me about 5:30 and was whispering and said that Abbey had just killed a deer and it was dying right then. At first I didn't believe it, but it really did happen. I would have thought Brandon would have been the first. She killed a spike that was about 100 pounds. Look closely at the second picture and notice the blood on her face. She was so excited and we were excited for her. She is now an official deer hunter. She is after the big one now.
