Weekend Recap Part 2

Saturday we woke up to the rain so we knew that our morning and mid day plans were going to probably be cancelled. We had plans to go ice skating and go on a hayride with Santa. So.... we went to plan B and went and had lunch with Ma and then Abbey and I met my mom and finished Christmas shopping. Yes, I said finished. WooHoo!!! She wanted to get some gifts for a few of her friends so I let her pick those out and we wrapped them up for her to take to them today. I remember swapping gifts with my friends at school. Oh such fun!! That night we headed to Ridgeland for a parade of floats on the Reservoir only to find out that it had been rescheduled for Sunday night. Bummer.... so we went and had supper at Pigskin. Dennis loves BBQ and Abbey loves ribs.

Sunday we got up and got ready to go to Dee Dee's for Dennis's moms side of the family's Chirstmas get together. The kids always love getting to spend time with their cousins so they were super excited. Plus they got to open a few gifts so they were excited about that as well.

We left their and went to First Baptist Church of Jackson to the "Carols By Candlelight." It was a great program and I hope to go back next year.

We came home and ate supper. Dennis picked up his deer meat Saturday so we cooked some of that. Yummy! Abbey had gotten a pedicure set so she wanted to give each other pedicures before bed. We painted each others toes pretty crazy.

We were off to bed after that for a good nights rest. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Christmas is just around the corner and I can’t wait. We are super busy for practically a week straight.

Weekend Recap Part 1

What a great weekend we had even though it rained out most of our plans on Saturday. Friday night we went to my parents house and ate chilli and then went to Canton to the City of Lights. They were having a Sipin' Cider and all of the stores were open late. Each store made their own apple cider and you voted on which one was the best. I just love to look in all the stores on the square. It is right up my alley!

After we shopped around and took a sip of all the ciders, we decided to ride the carousel. I rode with Coleson but it was so hard to get a picture with us moving. None of them turned out. My dad managed to get one of Abbey and Brandon.

We went back to my parents house afterwards and drank a glass of hot chocolate. My dad got out his little guitars and Abbey and Brandon played a little music for us.

Zonked Out

The other morning I was getting ready and looked over and Coleson was passed out in his exersaucer. This was his first time to do this and I thought it was pretty funny. He had gotten up at 5:00 that morning so that may explain why. Bless his heart, he was so tired.

We are so glad the weekend is creeping up on us. We have tons of stuff planned and will be attending a few family Christmas functions. We will be busy little bees!

Another Successful Weekend

Dennis went hunting again this weekend and killed a doe. That makes one buck and one doe this year…who's counting anyways. Apparently some are. Abbey and Brandon are going hunting this weekend so hopefully they will come back with one a piece. :)

Please keep our friends Heather and Jason in your thoughts and prayers. Jason had a hunting accident this weekend and fell out of a tree stand about 25 feet from the ground. He has a broken arm and some fractured bones in his back. Dennis was the last person he had talked to Saturday morning and all he could think about was that Dennis couldn’t be the last person he talked to before he died. He is doing better and is at home now with a long recovery ahead of him. Please pray for a full recovery.

My mom and I dressed Coleson up Saturday and took a few snap shots of him. I am so thankful for this little boy and love him more than words can describe!

My New Trick

Coleson is now pulling up on things. Christmas is going to be so much fun this year and he will be into everything. We can't wait!

Birthday Boy

We went and ate mexican last night to celebrate with the birthday boy. Our niece, Chloe, let it slip that it was his birthday. :) Thanks Chloe! We needed a good laugh and a yummy dessert. My hubby, baby boy and I spent the afternoon together yesterday and it was so nice to have an afternoon off with nothing to do. Coleson couldn't go to daycare because of his pink eye so it was a good excuse to spend some time together. He is much better now and the redness is pretty much gone.

I was so excited last night to go outside and find it snowing. We took Coleson out but of course he had no clue what was going on. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am off to do some more Christmas shopping. I am so close to being done, but our kids are finished which is a huge relief to me. Now if I can just get them wrapped.

Pink Eye Baby

When Dennis picked Coleson up from daycare yesterday, he was asleep and when he woke him up his eye was matted and really crusty. I quickly called the doctor and they called him in pink eye drops. As the night went on, his eye got worse so it looks like he definitely has pink eye. Poor baby looks terrible. Hopefully the drops will help and he will be all better soon.

Happy Birthday, Dennis!

Today is Dennis's birthday and he turned the B-I-G 3-0!!! Wow, that just means I am that much closer. Anywho! You are the best husband a girl could ask for and most importantly an awesome dad to three children that love you dearly. When I met you, that is one reason I fell in love with you. I knew that you would be a great father and nothing will change that. I don't have to go on and on about this. Your interaction with them shows! We love you and hope that you have a great day!

Coleson now has 6 teeth so it was time to start brushing his little teeth. You know I had to get a picture to share with the family. He didn’t really know what to think at first and then figured out quick that he didn’t like to have them brushed.
