7 Months

Coleson is now 7 months old and is growing like a weed. He changes everyday. He will attend his first MSU football game Saturday and I CAN NOT wait. I love going to football games and can’t wait to show him where his Momma went to college. I hope he will attend Mississippi State one day and grow to love it as much as I do. I hope all of our kids will. Abbey and Brandon already love MSU. They may not always admit to it but they really do enjoy the games so much. Our family has set the standards pretty high for college so we hope they all make the decision to attend. I feel like it is a very important step in life.

A few things Coleson is doing these days:
- He sits up on his own.
- He eats three solid meals a day – yogurt for breakfast, veggie at lunch, and a meat dinner for supper
- He definitely knows who his Momma, Daddy, sister, brother, and puppy are. He gives us a big smile when he sees us.
- He is trying to crawl. He’s not quite there yet but will be soon.
- He is the oldest baby in his daycare room and will be moving up to the next room soon.
- He loves the bath tub. He splashes water and plays with his toys.
- He loves being outside.
- He is still spoiled stinkin rotten and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
- He has spent his first night away from home.
- He now says DaDa.

My First Word....

Road Trip...

My sweet baby is going to Cleveland today with Grammie (my mom) to visit his great grandparents. My mom met me at my work this morning to get him and he is going to spend the night with her and my dad. I did really good when he left. My mom teared up a little bit because she is so excited about this. My dad is excited too. He told my mom that they would take him out to eat tonight. Dennis and I are going to have a date night and hang out with some friends. We are both looking forward to it. I will miss Coleson terribly as I already do. I really don’t see how people let their children stay away from home all the time. Every once in a while will have to do for now!

Sweet Baby

Couldn't you just stare at this sweet face all day long? I know I sure can. Coleson is going to see his great grandparents tomorrow with my mom. He will be sure to come back stickin tomorrow with all the attention he will get. His 6 month pictures should be up soon. I can't wait to see them and will share them with all of you. Have a great day!

You never know...

Brandon can say and do the funniest things and he doesn’t even realize it. Our next door neighbor is always teaching Brandon new things and Brandon always pulls them out at the perfect time. The other night Brandon had a light sensitive mosquito machine that he used on Abbey. He had put it under her bed without her knowing. I was getting Coleson ready for bed when Dennis came in his room and said that Abbey would be in here any minute. I had no idea what he was talking about and sure enough Abbey quickly came in there to tell us that she heard a noise in her room and she didn’t know what it was. Dennis went in there and told her that he didn’t hear anything to get back in the bed. She finally figured out that when she turned on the light it would go off. She found it under her bed and Brandon thought it was hilarious.

The other night a friend of Dennis’ was over and the boys were playing bowling on the Wii. Brandon got a strike and looked at Kendale and said, “How do you like them apples.”

You never know what is going to come out of his mouth. He definitely keeps us entertained.

Great Family Time

We went to a wedding in Fulton, MS this weekend so we stayed with my family in Tupelo. It was great to see them again. They haven't seen Coleson since he was a week or two old. He did great traveling and was a good baby all weekend.

This was after Jenna and Matt's wedding. Coleson stayed in the nursery during the wedding and the lady said he was the cutest and the best baby. We already knew he was the cutest but it was good to hear that he was good as well.

Bethany, Brandon and Abbey at the reception. Aunt Bethany and Uncle Preston were in the wedding. Brandon kept waving to them during the wedding.

Brandon and Coleson. They are such sweet brothers.

Coleson fell asleep before all of us got in the truck. He was so tired.

Our weekend ended giving this cute booty a bath. I just love this little fellow to death.

The Things Kids Say and Do

I meant to share this story sooner but I just thought about it. Every night while at the beach Dennis, Abbey and Brandon would go catch crabs in the sand. Both kids had a flashlight that they used to find them. The last night we were there this is a conversation between Abbey and Brandon.

Brandon: “Abbey, if you don’t turn that flashlight off right now, then we are going to go back to the condo.” (apparently she had it on and he thought the batteries were going to run down)

Abbey: “Ok, then let’s go back.”

Brandon: “No, No! I didn’t mean to say that.”

It hit me hard….

Today was my first morning to take all three kids to school and it wasn’t near as crazy as I thought it would be. BUT today really did make me sit back and think that the kids are growing up so fast. I dropped Brandon off like normal. He got out by himself without Abbey. I was expecting her to get out with him but then remembered that she was at a different school. So we drove to her school and today was the first day that I have ever looked at her and thought “Man, she sure is growing up.” It was something about her walking up to the middle school with all of these older kids walking in as well that it hit me. She just looked like a preteen this morning and not the little 7 year old she was when I met Dennis. I make my way over to Coleson’s daycare and he is asleep when I get there so I go over to put his car seat in his bed and it had a different name above it. They had moved him to the other side of the room. He is no longer a little baby at the daycare anymore like I think he should be. They have gotten several younger ones in and had to move him to the side with the older babies. Before long Abbey will be graduating high school, Brandon will be in middle school and Coleson will be starting kindergarten. Dennis and I are so thankful to have 3 healthy, beautiful children.

How cute am I?

Coleson and I had a photo shoot in the floor Saturday afternoon. Is he not the cutest thing you have ever seen? He was smiling and playing so of course I had to get the camera out. He had his 6 month pictures made yesterday afternoon and he did great. Mauri Hart said that he is the easiest baby that she has ever photographed. He smiles the entire time. That may be because he has had a camera in his face ever since he was a few seconds old. I will be sure and post the website once they are up for everyone to see.

Dennis and I had a pretty relaxing weekend. We ate pizza Friday night and he tagged along for a little shopping. J Saturday we ate lunch with Uncle Preston and Aunt Bethany and shopped some more. Abbey had softball tryouts for a new select team Sunday and she made it. Congrats Abbey! There was never a doubt in my mind that you wouldn’t. You are such a star of the softball field. I am excited about hanging out with softball moms again.

We are off to a wedding this weekend. Dennis and I are going to drive to Tupelo Saturday morning, but Coleson is going to go with my parents Friday night. This will be his first night away from me. Grammie is excited but Momma is a little nervous. Hopefully he will do ok for her. I have officially started my Christmas shopping. We don’t buy anything for the kiddos after August. It must be put on a Christmas list. I hope everyone has a great week. Abbey and Brandon come back home tonight so our family is complete again for the week (at least for now)!! Coleson loves them so much!

Orange Beach

We spent this past week at the beach and we had a great time. We also ate some wonderful food. What great memories we have. Coleson had fun but hated the ocean. He enjoyed the sand but wanted to eat it. I have posted a TON of pictures. I could choose just a few so I posted a bunch.

Playing in the foam at The Hangout.

I love to swim.

These are some crabs they caught on the beach. This was a nightly event.

We love the beach!

These are the biggest Rainbows I have ever seen.

Chillin at the beach!

Taking a walk on the beach!
The first time Coleson's feet went into the ocean. He hated the ocean water but didn't mind the swimming pool.

Eating at Lillian's. Thanks Eric and Amanda for telling us about it. We just have one complaint...where was the bulldog when you walked in?

I love the beach!

Coleson sitting in a resturant high chair for the first time. Such a big boy!
Abbey on the way to the beach. You may like softball but she does have a girly side as well.
