Our sweet kiddos (Rascal too)...

We went and took pictures of Abbey and Brandon last night before they went trick or treating. They both looked cute in there costumes. Abbey was a candy corn and Brandon was a SWAT guy. Rascal went because he was dressed up as a lobster. The costume drove him crazy, but he did manage to keep it on for a while. They both thought he was cute dressed up. I was disappointed in the number of kids that came by the house. It was the same way last year. I guess we live in the back of the neighborhood so they don't make it back that far. When I was growing up, we would always count the number of kids that came by every year and we would always have over 100. I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!

Halloween at Southern Cross Underwriters

Halloween at Southern Cross is always a big deal and everyone looks forward to it every year. We had several Halloween contests this year. We always have a costume contest and this year we added department contests as well. We decorated our cubicles and had judges come in to pick a winner. My department did a grave yard, another department did a haunted house and the back department did a pumpkin patch. It was all so cute and took a lot of work. The best design went to the haunted house. The mummy (Lorie) won fist prize in the costume contest. I was a "Mummy To Be." I didn't dress up too much this year. It's hard to find something to be when you are pregnant. We also brought food this morning so we have all been grazing all day. I may never eat anything again.

Pumpkin Pics.....

A few weeks ago we took the kids to have pictures made with pumpkins. We did it last year and they turned out really good so we would have them made again this year. Again, they turned out great and I was very pleased with them. Monique took over 70 pictures and they were all excellent of both Abbey and Brandon. It will be so hard to choose which ones I want to have printed. I have posted a few of my favorites. She also takes Easter pictures so I can't wait to have all 3 kids for that. Enjoy!

Smores at Bass Pro Shop

We went to Bass Pro Shop on Sunday so that Dennis and Brandon could look around. I love going there. I like it as much as Dennis likes going to the mall. Can you tell the sarcasm there? But, I know that they like to go so I will go with them. As we were leaving, they were letting kids make smores. I had a bite of Brandon's and it was yummy! When we got home that afternoon, we carved pumpkins. Pictures coming soon!

Homecoming 2008

Dennis and I took the kids to the Mississippi State football game Saturday. It was the homecoming game and Abbey looks forward to seeing all the girls dressed up every year. She was so excited again this year. She used Brandon’s binoculars and watched the entire half time through them. Our family has definitely started a tradition and we all look forward to football season at our house. It is so funny to watch Brandon at the games. He gets into the fight song and loves to cheer for the bulldogs. He will catch Dennis and me watching him and will get embarrassed. We both get so tickled at him and just start laughing. I sure have made a little bulldog fan out of him. It has been my dream ever since being a student at State to take my family to football games and tailgate. I have such great memories at MSU and I love sharing them with the people that I love. It really brightens my day to step foot on campus and my heart definitely bleeds MAROON and WHITE.

Catfish Picnic

Saturday, Dennis's department at work had a catfish picnic at a new park in Clinton at lunch. We went to it before going to the football game. The food was really good and the weather was very nice. There were some other kids there so Abbey and Brandon had a good time playing with them. Brandon was so worried that we were going to miss the state game. He kept asking if it was 6:00 yet and it was only 12:00. Poor thing LOVES to be in Starkville so he sure didn't want to miss out on anything.

I finally upgraded to Picasa 3. I have been using Picasa ever since I started this blog in 2005 and I think it is a really neat program. I was playing around with it tonight and finally figured out how to add text. Of course, Dennis had to show me but now I can do without his help.

Western Heritage Insurance Conference

This past Wednesday, I went to Scottsdale, AZ for an insurance conference. I had a really good time and got to see people that I only see once or twice a year. The weather was so nice and very comfortable everyday. I came back Friday night. Dennis and Brandon were waiting on me at the airport and I was so glad to see them.
