Above is a picture of my baby belly at 33 weeks and it surely is growing fast these days. I am definitely starting to feel it also. I get short of breath really fast and am pretty tired all the time. He is such an active little boy. He moves constantly and at times it is so uncomfortable. My mom thinks he is coming the middle of January and Dennis says the end of January. I guess only time will tell. I am just about finished with his room. I worked a lot this weekend getting things more organized. I just have some wall art to hang. I LOVE the way it looks and can’t wait to have him here. I go back for a sonogram in about a week to see how he is doing in there. Hopefully he will cooperate so that we can see him. 48 days and counting down!!
Friday we picked Abbey and Brandon up at 12:00 and came back to our house to see what Santa had brought and then we headed to Vicksburg to have Christmas with my parents, my sister, and my brother-in-law. We had a great time and got lots of good gifts. Abbey got a cupcake maker and refill, a cookbook, a shirt and jeans, pajamas, 2 movies, lunch box and water bottle holder, and two games. Brandon got a Nerf Wii game, a Nerf Vulcan blaster, Wall-E DS game, shirt, pajamas, a camo gun case, a game, and an ATM machine. I may have forgotten something. Who knows! They both got a ton this year. Coleson got some great things as well. He will be so fun at Christmas next year. We are so thankful for everything we got. What a great time of the year!
Abbey got stilts this year as one of her Christmas gifts. She saw them in a magazine and Dennis's grandmother got them for her. We got out in the yard yesterday afternoon and they all learned how to walk on them. Brandon and Chloe had a hard time but Dennis, Abbey and Taylor picked it up pretty fast. It was hilarious watching them walk up and down the sidewalk. We are thinking about joining the circus for an extra hobby on the side. What do you think?
Santa brought lots of good gifts this year. That must mean that Abbey and Brandon were good. Abbey's big gift was a ripstick and Brandon's was a bow and arrow with a target. He was so excited when he opened it.
We had Christmas at Dennis's grandmothers house Wednesday night. The kids got some good gifts and we had great family time. Abbey and Brandon always get excited about opening gifts at her house. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Lots of pictures below....
Christmas Eve around 2:00, we let Abbey and Brandon open their gifts from Dennis and I. They also got to open Coleson's which was a lot of fun for them. Dennis and I swapped gifts as well. We all got lots of great things and are so thankful for everything. Rascal even had a couple of gifts under the tree. This year Dennis and I made them both an album that had pictures from when they were babies until now. They both enjoyed looking at them. It was a really sweet gift that they will have forever.
I went to the doctor this morning for my 32 week appointment. Everything is still going smoothly and the doc said my uterus is growing. I had gained another 3 pounds which he said was good. It certainly wasn't good news to me. That makes a total of 15 so far. Coleson's heartbeat was 157 so it sounds like we are going to have an active little boy on our hands. We are definitely on the countdown now with a little under 8 weeks left. I will be busy after the holidays putting the finishing touches on his nursery and getting his clothes washed and ready. I guess it's about time to get my bags packed in a few weeks and get the car seat strapped in the car. He will be here before we know it!
Dennis killed his first deer yesterday afternoon. He went hunting with our brother-in-law, Preston, on his family's land. He saw at least ten deer and this is the one that went down. He is not proud of his first deer by any means. It is a button buck and he thought he was killing a doe. I was proud of him though. People say it is hard to tell these from a doe. I wouldn't have a clue so I will take their word for it. Brandon would have had a blast yesterday. They are going to take him out there real soon. Hopefully this weekend. There are tons of deer on this land. When Dennis called Brandon and told him, he was mad because Dennis didn't cut the head off and have it mounted. I have a feeling one day my garage will be full of deer heads.
When I was growing up, we had a tradition every Christmas that I have now carried over to my family. My dad always wanted to open a gift about a week before Christmas. My mom hated it so I think he brought this up every year to aggitate her. I'm sure he really didn't care if he opened one or not. My sister and I loved it so I thought it would be fun to continue on with my family. So, last night we opened one gift and went and looked at Christmas lights. Abbey and Brandon were so excited about this. We went to Winner's Circle Park and rode around a neighborhood. It was a lot of fun and great family time for the four of us that we will contine to do. I will soon be saying the number 5.
Dennis and I went and saw Trans Siberian Orchestra Wednesday night. It was our little date night for just the two of us. We had a great time. A friend from work gave me tickets last year and he gave us tickets again this year. Thanks Cooper! We had a great time. Thanks Aunt Bethany and Uncle Preston for keeping Abbey and Brandon. We owe you big time once yall have kids!
It was so pretty the other day when it snowed. I went to work that morning and they let us go home at 11:30. The roads weren't so bad until we got about half way home and then they became really icy and slick. This is what we saw when we looked out our front door. We didn't have a ton of snow but enough to cover the ground and roof.
